The GRE has two formats: a General Test and a Subject Test:
- General Test:

- Math (130-170 points): 70 minutes.
- Language (130-170 points): 70 minutes, 20 questions.
- Essay Writing (0-6 points): 30 minutes, analysis of a topic or critique.

Graduate Management Admission Test
The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) as administered by the non-profit Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) is a test that assesses the ability of students wishing to study MBA programs in Business Administration abroad.

The GMAT is not an English proficiency test similar to the likes of the TOEFL or IELTS. Rather, the GMAT is a computer-adaptive test (CAT) specifically designed to measure language and mathematical abilities. Rather than attempting to measure the extent of a candidate’s knowledge, the exam strives to gauge how candidates apply their knowledge in creative thinking and problem-solving questions.
- The structure of the GMAT is as follows:

- Scoring: 200-800 points
- The examination consists of 4 parts, with the following time allocated per section:

- Analytical Writing Assessment (30 minutes): 1 essay
- Integrated Reasoning (30 minutes): 12 questions
- Quantitative (62 minutes): 31 questions
- Verbal (65 minutes): 36 questions
Scholastic Assessment/Aptitude Test
The SAT (Scholastic Assessment/Aptitude Test) is one of the numerous standardized tests used for application to American universities. The SAT’s are an important measurement for American and Canadian universities to assess the academic ability of students and areknown as an important variable in increasing the chances of receiving a scholarship and being admitted into competitive universities.

- Students need to register for the exam online at the College Board’s official website at least 4 weeks before the test date to avoid paying the late registration fee of 30 USD (700,000 VND). The SAT is usually held internationally in the months of March, May, June, August, October, November, and December.
- SAT locations in Vietnam are currently only available in major cities such as Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and Da Nang. The cost of taking the SAT is 52 USD (1.2 million VND). The fee to change the exam date or test location is 30 USD (700,000 VND).
- The SAT preparatory course at Westminster Academy is designed to adapt to the different skill sets and knowledge of students, according to the following roadmap: Basic (entry and foundational knowledge) – Advanced (additional and enhanced knowledge) – Practice (practice exercises according to relevant topics) – Test (practice under real-time conditions using previous exam papers).
