  • The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is an international English language certificate administered by the US National Institute of Educational Testing (ETS). Its purpose is to test candidates’ English proficiency in an academic environment. As the test is academic in nature, it is recommended for students studying abroad who speak, read and write English as a foreign language. The certificate is particularly applicable for students who plan to study in the US and Canada.

The TOEFL score is calculated from 0 to 120 points allocated equally amongst 4 skill sections of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Each skill section is marked from 0 – 30 points.
